If, after manipulations via QPST, the device is determined to be somehow different, manually install the drivers from the folder "Qualcomm_USB_Drivers_Windows".

Additionally

Unpack the archive and install MiFlash.

We follow steps 8-9 described above in the instructions, that is, we connect the device to the computer in a state where it is detected in Device Manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader9008".

Launch MiFlash.

Press the button "Browse" in the program and indicate the path to the directory "files_for_miflash", located in the folder obtained as a result of unpacking the archive downloaded from the link above.

Click "Refresh", which will lead to the device being detected by the program.

and selecting from the menu that opens "Advanced...".

In the window "Advanced" using buttons "Browse" add files from the folder to the fields "files_for_miflash" in the following way:
After all files have been added, click "OK".

Next you will need to be careful. Making the window visible "Device Manager".
Press the button "Flash" in the flasher and observe the COM ports section in "Dispatcher".

Immediately after the moment when the smartphone is detected as "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics9006", we close MiFlash without waiting for the end of the manipulations in the program, and move on to the next stage of restoring HTC Desire 516.

HTC Desire 516 Dual Sim: device firmware

Download the archive with firmware files for HTC Desire 516 Dual Sim and unpack it.
Download the Adb Run utility and install it. During the installation process, Adb Run will be installed by default in the root directory of drive C.
File system.img(from the Firmware.rar archive) copy to the folder C:\adb\img\system.
Turn off HTC Desire 516 Dual Sim, hold down the button Volume+ and a button Power. After the system boots, select the item "reboot bootloader". The HTC logo will appear on the screen and the device will remain in that state.
Connect the device to the USB port.
From folder C:\adb\progbin run the file adb_run.bat.
Press the number 5 Fastboot, and after that select the item 4 System. The program will automatically open the System folder for you, into which we previously copied the firmware file. Close the folder and return to working with the utility.
The program displays the message “Press any key to continue”. Click. After a delay, the utility begins the firmware update process. This usually lasts about 2 minutes.
After the update is completed, the program will issue a corresponding notification.

After the firmware installation process has been completed, you need to perform a full system reset, reboot the phone, and only then get started.

If Windows does not automatically detect your device, you must additionally install drivers for HTC Desire 516.

Make sure your device is more than half charged before you start flashing it. During the update process, do not disconnect the device from the USB port, so as not to result in an inoperable device.
