How to properly unpack a file?

In 95% of cases files for games presented in .RAR or .ZIP format. The first ones can be downloaded and unpacked using the trial version of the WinRAR program. To do this, open the archive using this program by clicking on the “Extract to” button (“Extract to” in the English version) and select any folder on your hard drive, but do not select the folder with the game, since the archive may have subfolders, and then the file won't work.

If the file is packed in a ZIP archive, then it will be enough to open it through standard Windows Explorer. Sometimes there may be archives with the extension .7Z; to unpack them, you will need to download the 7-Zip archiver. It's free and quite convenient, and can also work with .RAR and a bunch of other, less popular archive types.

How to install the trainer correctly?

When you have unpacked the archive, find it through Explorer and view the contents of the folder. Usually the trainer is a single file with the .EXE extension, but sometimes it can include others, as well as instructions (usually called ReadMe.txt).

The installation method for all trainers is similar and consists of placing all files in the game distribution, in the same folder where the executable file is located, which is responsible for launching the game. Sometimes finding it is not so easy, but if you have an icon on your desktop with which you can launch the game, then you can use the following method:

1. Right-click on the icon;
2. In the context menu that opens, select the “Properties” option;
3. In the window that opens, go to the “Shortcut” tab and click on the “File location” button.

After this, the folder in which the EXE file of the game is located will open in Explorer. The trainer must be copied to the same folder, unless the instructions included with the trainer say otherwise.

1st task. Awakening


In the opening video, we are invited onto a transport ship flying to the Sevastopol space station to personally participate in the search for our mother, Ellen Ripley.


Goal: inspect Torrens

We leave the capsule. We approach a computer with a black screen background and the inscription “A.RIPLEY”, insert your card.


Goal: Get dressed

We leave the cabin. In the corridor we go into the left door, inside we find a locker with the inscription “Ripley Personal Storage”, we get dressed.

In small cabinets in the wall we collect useful things: substance B, glue, trash.

Insert a card into the panel labeled “Emergency” (this is a way to save in the game).


Objective: Talk to Taylor

We go out into the corridor, go left to the intersection, then turn right. We must get to the galley (dining room). (You can navigate using the map; to do this, press the “Tab” key). We talk to the girl and find out that she is a lawyer.

Objective: Find help at the spaceport

We approach the green panels and take off the spacesuit. Here you can save at the panel. We exit the gateway along any corridor. We see a fiery obstacle ahead. We come closer to the fire, examine the left wall, find a ventilation hatch, climb into it (key “E”). Through the ventilation we find ourselves in another compartment.


We walk along the boards laid across the cliff. At this point, Amanda falls down.

We get to our feet, take a fire flare on the boxes, use it (key “Q”, select the fire). We pass forward and find ourselves in a room with conveyor belts. Here we go along the right side, crouch (key “C”) to crawl through the low gate. We go straight to the dead end and collect the trash from the suitcases. On the left side of the grate, press the button to open it and climb onto the ladder.

Spaceport

At the top we find ourselves in a large dark hall. At the entrance we select the sensor from the cart. In the hall we go up to the hill to the central doors. The doors are closed, you need electricity to open them.

Standing right in front of the central door, we turn back and see the central compartment between the stairs. We enter the control room and take the map of the next compartment on the table. There is a save panel on the right wall; opposite it, on the left wall, press the lever (press “E” several times). On the third attempt we start the generator.

In the next room, in the windows we see our ship flying past. We need to get in touch and let them know that we are still alive.

We pass along the second floor and go down on the other side. We start the generator on the wall. After turning it on, a door with a bright light will open, we enter it. We can save in the terminal.

We enter the central space, surrounded by tables, find a hatch on the floor, and go down into it. We make our way further through the mine.

In the destroyed corridor we go along the right side. We approach the cart, press “E” to roll it to the side. We climb into the square pipe.

Objective: Find the elevator to the communications center

We arrive at the hub. We navigate by the map (Tab key). We arrived on the shuttle “To the Sevastopol spaceport”; the other shuttles are not working. On the western side, only one door to the stairs is open; we can go up it and open the second door on the other side. A dead man lies near the door; you can search him and find useful items. We go up any eastern stairs and go into the foyer.

In the lobby, a girl notices us in the distance, shoots in our direction, and then runs away.


On the second floor there are panels where you can reconfigure the power system (reduce the energy of a switched-on device, power up a sound device). In the northwest corner of the second floor there is an entrance to the ventilation; we go down it into a separate room, where we search the boxes with junk.

When we examine everything, we approach the central doors on the first floor. In front of the closed door we find URD device to break combination locks, but it doesn't work.

After taking the URD, we hear that the girl is returning here with reinforcements. We hide in the ventilation on the second floor. When people go down to the first floor, we run along the second floor into the opened door in the southeast corner. We go down the stairs two floors.

Objective: Hack the elevator to the communications center

The door from the archive has closed, we are trying to break it with a new device. Hacking process: first we look for a signal (move the white rectangle along the edge of the screen with the mouse), at some point we find a signal (leave the mouse in this position). Then we crack the code: three symbols are drawn on top, we need to enter them one by one from the list of symbols below (select a symbol by pressing the arrows on the keyboard, activate the symbol with the “E” key).


Goal: Disable emergency lock

We return to the control cabin, go to the stairs. The door to the stairs is closed and cannot be opened with our device. We go to the western corridor, there we open the code doors. The north door leads to the workshop.

We enter the northern door. Inside, on the central table, disable the door lock.

At this moment, a monster jumps out of the ceiling vent. We hide behind the table and wait for the monster to go up the stairs.

Now the stranger is hunting us, so we need to behave very carefully and inconspicuously, we cannot make noise, and getting into an open battle is mortally dangerous.

The alien will run along the corridors around the central room, and we need to get to the southern code door. We look at the motion detector, when the stranger is in the far corridor and moves away from the southern door, we sneak there, quickly enter code 1702 and go inside.
